"The working class and the employing class have nothing in common. There can be no peace so long as hunger and want are found among millions of the working people and the few, who make up the employing class, have all the good things of life." — Preamble to the Constitution of the IWW, 1905
Who We Are
The IWW is a member-run union committed to organizing both within our workplaces and communities.
We are the Phoenix General Membership Branch, building the foundations of a new world in the shell of the old.
Tips to Remember
- 1. Keep any union talk, and general conversations about wages, benefits, and hours, out of the ears of management.
- 2. Be a model employee. Do not give management any reason to fire you. Your job is worth defending and improving.
- 3. Unions are legal—just not popular with bosses.
